Layout is the basic part of a template. You will need to know what you or your customer wants before you start working. Part of the "pre-work" propositions is the layout. 2 columns, 3 columns or a mix of these two ? Perhaps a 1 column (=full page) with only a top menu?

Now that you’ve seen that rounded corners and tables can do what you want in your template, you will have seen where the limits are for a good looking site. Some time already, I was thinking of making rounded corners for some of my templates and a few of my customers. Now, I am not a real web html specialist, and every time I start asking about rounded corners to people “who know”, they started to tell me : “Oh, but you will have to become a specialist in HTML, DIV tags … “, and so on. Automatic template headers and trouble
Ok, I've been using the automatic template headers with Dreamweaver. When you start with templates, that's an easy option. But when checking with Joomla 1.1.0 Alpha 2 you will get errors in more than one place . Now the templates are being updated to be compliant with J110A2 for as much as possible.
Fire and Heat
The first template is out, called Fire and Heat.

The Rainbow Collection
This is a collection of templates in all the colors of the html-rainbow. These are simple templates, they look good on IE (yes, at least they look good here). Other compatibility has to be tested. I have used very simple layout commands, so they should look good everywhere.
You can download them from our download section.
